Well I’m stuck in a situation where I’m losing my, losing my mind
These words they bite and they fight back on everything I have to say
Give me some space in my life, let me breathe
Cry me a river, cry me a stream
I’ll float down either one and find what I need
No more complaining, you’re wasting my time
I got a new life waiting for me to arrive
Can’t you see what you’ve done to me
I’m strung out in doubt about what I believe
This ain’t right I should feel much better
But you’re holding me back, you’re holding me back
From what I need in my life, let me breathe
Cry me a river, cry me a stream
I’ll float down either one and find what I need
No more complaining, you’re wasting my time
I got a new life waiting for me to arrive
Cry me a river, cry me a stream
I’ll float down either one and find what I need
No more complaining, you’re wasting my time
I got a new life waiting for me to arrive
Got a new life waiting for me to arrive

it's such a beautiful album of grieving and loss and acceptance. it speaks to a particular kind of grief -- not a grieving of one who is lost, but the grieving for one who is still present and still causing pain. i love the last song most because while it could end in pain, or end with the narrators decision to permanently push this person out of their life and that would be justified, it doesn't. instead, it offers something. what is offered? acceptance. hope. and a chance for redemption janmisha
